The long school holidays are fast approaching and we’re getting geared up for another year of amazing fun at our summer camps!
With more activity day camps open this year than ever before, we’re set to entertain even more children this summer.
With over 80 activities at our holiday clubs, there’ll be plenty to do whatever they’re into. Here are just some of the sessions that will keep them engaged this summer:
Without a doubt, kids love our quad bikes and go-karts sessions! We base these activities on the developmental stages of the children, so even the 4 ½ to 6 year olds get to get an adrenaline rush with age appropriate electric go-karts. Whatever age they are, they’ll get the chance to channel their inner Lewis Hamilton or Katherine Legge. If they’ve got the bug, why not develop their skills further with our Motor Mania Skills Builder course?
Our water based sessions are the perfect way for kids to cool down at our summer clubs. Many of our camps have indoor or outdoor swimming pools and those that don’t have an outdoor water park and aqua slide so every child can have a splashing time! We guarantee these sessions to be offered a minimum of two times for each group per week. If they’re new to swimming, or a little nervous you can add Swim School to any week long booking at venues with a pool.
One of our most loved summer holiday club activities, Kin-Ball gets the kids working as a team. A relative newcomer, created in Quebec in 1986, it’s an alternative ball game involving an oversized ball and three teams. Barracudas are once again ahead of the curve with this activity as Kin-Ball UK only joined the International Kin-Ball Federation in 2018.
There's something for everyone at Barracudas and we pride ourselves in offering an unrivalled number of activities to keep them entertained every day. Our arts and crafts sessions are popular with all the children at camp. These fun sessions offer children the chance to express their creativity with a range of activities from making photo frames to pop up puppets. Kids love to let their imaginations run wild during arts and crafts at our summer camps!
Barracudas certainly isn’t bog-standard. Archery is another of our specialist sessions we offer to children that they probably haven’t had the opportunity to try before. Led by qualified instructors, kids can express their inner Robin Hood. Always mindful of offering appropriate activities, 4 ½ to 6 year olds have their own version of paper archery. We hit the target with this activity!
We appeal to their inner divas with our varied drama sessions. Led by specialist instructors, children can develop their own sketches in their teams and take part in fun expressive sessions. At the end of the week at many camps children get to take in our own Barracudas Got Talent (only if they want to of course!). If they’re attending the full week they can develop these skills with our additional Upstage! Skills Builder Course.
Whether it’s fencing (7 years plus) or foam fencing (4 ½ - 6 year olds), our specialist instructors help to ignite new passions with this unusual activity. Kids get to channel their inner Zorro in this fun session, under the watchful eye of our trained staff!
This is just a snapshot of the many activities we have on offer at Barracudas summer camps! You can find out more about our age appropriate summer activities for kids here.
