Getting childcare out of school hours can be a real grind – with the school holidays piling on the pressure for working parents.
We know the school break can be a real juggling act for parents and it can feel like a struggle to survive the school holidays.
Our standard hours are great for busy parents with drop off at 8.30am and collection by 5.30pm. We know that there might be the need for a longer day sometimes too. Well, we’ve got a solution if you're facing a long commute or have additional appointments and can’t get your child to one of our summer holiday camps and make it to work on time – or make it back for pick-up.
As an additional service at our UK school holiday camps, we run Early and Late Clubs. They give parents that crucial extra half-hour at either end of the day – while the kids get to spend more time on fun activities with their friends.
The standard day at our summer holiday camps runs from 8.30am to 5.30pm. It’s a long day, but it’s a day crammed full of fun activities for kids. If you’re lucky enough to work locally to one of our 45 centres around the UK, those opening times are excellent.
If you’re having to make your way to and from a workplace that’s further afield, each and every second spent waiting at a traffic light or a roundabout can be fraught.
That’s where the Early and Late Clubs offer more flexibility. Doors open at 8am and that’s when the fun begins. Our UK school holiday camps aren’t here to babysit your child – they’re here to keep them active and entertained.
So when the doors open for the early session, they’ll be heading into the gym to play games and sports or going to one of our activity areas to try out something crafty. Working young people’s bodies and minds is a trademark of the childcare we provide.
At the other end of the day, it’s just the same. Instead of a 5.30pm pick-up, it’s 6pm with more fun and games laid on for the youngsters at our summer holiday camps UK.
The Early and Late Clubs are not free – it’s an additional £4 for each morning or afternoon session – but what they do is give you flexibility and the confidence that your child is safe, being looked after and having a good time.
Their flexibility means you don’t have to sign your child up for the club every day. If you’ve got a late start, an early finish, you won’t need to book your child in – no problem!
But if you have a dental appointment right after work, for instance, they are a quick and easy option that provides help in the style of that sought-after childcare out of school hours.
You may think that these clubs add an additional 30 minutes onto the day (1 hour if doing both) but the Early and Late clubs are actually an hour long and are treated like an additional activity session.
Don’t think your child will be sitting around for that additional hour, during these clubs your child will be able to take part in fun activities. They might go to the sports hall and play games or they might stay in their base room and do some crafts in there. Either way we treat these clubs as another session so your child never gets bored.
At the time of booking just add the extended hours during the booking process. If you have already made the booking we understand that things change and you might need to add the clubs on at a later date. No fear, just give us a call and we will be able to add those additional hours onto your booking.
Or if you are looking to make your booking now, you can add these on when making the booking.
We're looking forward to a summer of fun at camp and look forward to seeing you there!
