Making a difference with the Barracudas Trust Fund

Barracudas believes that it’s important to give back to the community in any ways that we can. One initiative we’re proud of is our Trust Fund.

Each year, staff are given the opportunity to apply for the Trust Fund to help them to achieve a community goal. This year Christopher Goodall, a 11+ Group Leader at our Huntingdon camp applied to raise funds for his London Marathon run in April. He is running in aid of his mum who he lost this year to grade 4 Glioblastoma.

Chris was astounded with the support him and his family received from Macmillan Cancer Support that he decided to run in the marathon in honour of his mum and to raise funds for this amazing charity. However, they need him to raise £2500 to enter the race so asked Barracudas and many other friends and family to help.

Chris has already started his training and recently finished his first half marathon. We'll be keeping track of Chris’s progress right up to the big day, so keep an eye on our blog page for monthly updates!
