New Skills Builder courses for 2020!

An activity day camp is so much more than convenient childcare in the school holidays.

Although we do provide a reliable and safe option, Barracudas offers so much more. Children make new friends, try new activities and develop new skills whilst at camp and our specialist courses for kids are a great addition to a week long booking.

We design our Skills Builders courses to suit every child, whatever they’re in to. You can sign up to these additional courses once you’ve booked a full week at camp. The course will take the place of 1 standard session each day and will ignite new passions and support key skills. Barracudas Skills Builders are a great way to find new interests for your child, especially if they haven’t yet found a hobby.

We carefully select a balanced range of specialist courses and this year we’re excited to have 2 new offerings!

STEM Works

Ideal for your science and tech enthusiast, STEM Works is a practical workshop exploring science, technology, engineering and mathematics in action. Kids will learn new skills and develop new passions in this fun course. This course will be available at many of our Easter camps and all of our summer camps and half term camps. Please check your local camp for availability.

Dance Fusion

Your budding star will love Dance Fusion. This gives kids the opportunity to learn different dance genres throughout the week. Appealing to children who have rhythm in their soul, they'll get the chance to learn new moves and techniques. This will be available at all camps throughout the year.

We’re pleased to be continuing with our other popular Skills Builders courses this year, including:

Motor Mania

If your child loves motors then this course will be perfect for them. Although it’ll be a few years until your child will be learning to drive a real car, the skills they will learn from Motor Mania will stand them in good stead when they eventually get behind the wheel.

If your child is more cautious, this is also a great opportunity for them to build their confidence in this area. We find many children who are nervous on the tarmac at the beginning of the week are whizzing around by the end!

Lab Rats

This Skill Builder course is not only fun but is educational too. What’s even better, the children don’t even realise they’re learning! Over the course of the week the children will do a new experiment every day, whether it be learning about volcanoes or chemical reactions, children are without a doubt going to go back to school after the holidays with more knowledge than when they broke up.

Beginners Swim School

Does your child lack confidence in the water? Or have they not started lessons yet? Swimming is an important life skill that we feel is important to teach kids as early as possible. Our dedicated and trained staff will teach your child the basics of swimming whilst also making it fun and enjoyable.
