See what parents thought about October half term!

That’s a wrap for our holiday camps in 2024. We had a great time at our October half term camps and the doors are now closed at Barracudas for this year.

Don’t worry though, we’re busy planning our camps for 2025 and will soon be announcing our locations and dates. With our lowest rates guaranteed with our Early Booking Offer, it pays to book early!

Reasons for booking October camp

We’re here because parents need us, although we wouldn’t survive if children didn’t love us and want to come back! It’s important that we understand why it is that people book school holiday camps. Once again, the main reason is that parents need safe, reliable and fun childcare and activities in the school holidays. 76% of respondents booked Barracudas because they’re working parents.

Booking experience

Ease and simplicity is important for busy working parents. With 92% of our October bookers making their booking online, we know how important it is that we invest in a smooth and reliable online booking platform. We were pleased that we provided a positive user experience this October, with 96% of respondents confirming this was excellent or good.

First impressions

The camp experience starts even before children get through the door. Getting from the carpark to our registration area should be easy and stress-free and registration sets the scene for parents and children, with a fun and friendly atmosphere and feeling part of something special. We asked our parents what their first impressions were an 98% confirmed we wow’d them this October!

Quality activities

It’s all about the activities at our school holiday camps! Parents overwhelmingly praised the diversity and quality of activities offered at our camp. 95% of bookers were really pleased with the activities on offer this October. We were thrilled that we delivered on our promise to offer an array of options suited to a wide range of interests, meaning every child found something to entertain and inspire them.

Favourite activities

We like to hear what the standout activities children enjoyed at camp. We know every child is different, which is why we offer an unrivalled range and a choice for every session. We were pleased to see such a range of activities listed by our bookers, with most frequently mentioned being sports, arts and crafts, swimming, dance and drama and, of course, weekly theme activities and dress up on our Friday Finale.

Great venues

We couldn’t offer our amazing range of activities if we didn’t have the appropriate space to do so. Barracudas careful selects our camp venues based on great facilities and convenience. 97% of parents agreed we’d really impressed with our location this October.

Quality staff

Without our enthusiastic staff, the camp experience wouldn’t be the fun event for children that we promise. It’s also key that parents feel reassured their child is in safe hands whilst they’re with us. We ensure all staff are enhanced DBS checked and have the appropriate training and qualifications for their role. 95% of parents confirmed they were impressed with our staff this October.

Likelihood to book again

Perhaps one of the most crucial indicators of satisfaction is the likelihood of parents to book again. The survey revealed a 94% of parents expressed a strong inclination to enrol their children in future camps, showcasing a vote of confidence in our programs.

Net Promoter Score (NPS)

The Net Promoter Score is a widely recognized metric for customer loyalty. A substantial majority of parents indicated a high likelihood of recommending our camp to friends and family, reinforcing our commitment to delivering exceptional experiences. We were delighted to have a score of 65 (it’s considered that above 0 is good, above 20 is great and above 50 is amazing).

October camp summary

Our October camp parent survey has given us with a wealth of insights that will help to shape our future camps. We'll continue to build on the things we do well and find ways we can become even better to make sure children and bookers enjoy the very best experience at Barracudas.
