It’s been another standout week at camp. In the week that the majority of our summer camps are closing, we’ve made the most of the last days of fun and adventure. We’ve welcomed new faces as well as familiar friends to join us for amazing experiences and memory making – and have loved every minute!
Not all our camps are over, and we're looking forward to continued fun at Chislehurst and Huntingdon camp next week.
Each week at camp we introduce a new special theme. This means that children can enjoy unique experiences whether they join us for a day, or throughout the summer holiday. This week we celebrated ‘Crazy Creatures’, bringing a fun twist to firm favourites, theme related arts and crafts and ending the week with our Friday Finale celebration.
Children delved into the fun, enjoying archery, motorsports, aqua slide and water park. We loved the interactive arts and crafts sessions, creating group safari scenes and then creating animals to put on it.
Staff are bringing a great dynamic to camp, with high energy and enthusiasm bringing a super fun vibe to camp. We loved the healthy competition in our Uni hoc session on the Astro and a fantastic cricket session and children were loving getting creative in our Crazy Creatures themed arts and craft activities.
We've loved supercharged fun at camp, with a fantastic mix of activities. Children enjoyed trying something new with great archery and motor sports sessions. We had loads of field based fun including rounders, kickball and lacrosse.
The Waterpark was a huge hit at camp this week. Children also enjoyed motor sports and excellent archery sessions. We loved the Barracudas group getting involved in a fantastic dodgeball session and Minnows enjoying mastering clay – we loved their creations!
We’ve enjoyed a fantastic range of fun activities this week. Just some to mention; healthy competition with Uni hoc and football on the main field, rebalancing with Yoga, Kin Ball in the gym and table tennis is the base rooms. We’re loving all the fantastic artwork made at camp on display throughout camp. Our Blue Shirts (senior team) are running a fun camp with tonnes of energy!
We enjoyed lots of sporting fun with Barracudas group Capture the Flag including a great warm up game of river crossing and Piranhas group loving a fun basketball session starting off with passing and shooting drills. Dolphins has a really fun motor sports session. Once again the Minnows wowed us with their weekly theme related arts and crafts creations.
What a happy and vibrant camp! Our Camp Manager, Ben is leading the way and running a fun and engaging camp. A big shout out to our fantastic Early Years Group Leader too, who is really inspiring our Minnows. Children are living their best lives, enjoying fantastic activities, delivered with huge enthusiasm by our positive team of leaders.
There’s a great atmosphere on camp. This week, amongst other things, we’ve enjoyed great dodgeball sessions, fun on the bouncy castle, giant games, swimming, motor sports and Uni hoc. Children are really growing with us at camp this summer!
We’ve had so much fun with lots of variety on our time table. Children have loved high energy sports sessions, fantastic themed arts and crafts, stand out dance and drama, specialist activities and swimming. What’s not to love? So many memories made at camp this week!

Special shoutout to Francesca from Barnet camp, who’s taken home Overall Staff Member of the Week! Here’s what Barnet had to say about her:
"Francesca has been an amazing lifeguard this season, making swimming sessions both really enjoyable and really safe. The kids love Fran and look forward to swimming sessions even more because of her. She can do any activity she is put into and is able to make any child engaged and happy. She is always going above and beyond to be reliable and friendly. This deserves a huge well done and thank you."
Here are some of our most recent Trustpilot reviews from happy parents:
“My 7 and 5 year old have just spent two weeks at Cobham Barracudas and had the best time. My 7 year old does not normally enjoy holiday camps but both absolutely raved about this one. Thank you Barracudas!!” Sarah
“Barracudas have done it again. My child is happy, has spent time at Huntingdon Barracudas for 4 weeks. Loved the staff, they are friendly and efficient at drop off and collection.
My daughter comes home each day full of stories and excitement on the range of activities she has been doing. Real variety so she isn't bored, activities she wouldn't get to do elsewhere. She loves swimming!
I recommend their fabulous childcare to parents looking for holiday childcare. Special shout out to those leading the Dolphins group, thanks for taking such good care of my daughter. And the camp manager is lovely and approachable.
Will see you all again next year.” Emma
"Layla had a wonderful experience at the summer club in Canterbury. The staff were amazing! Special shout-out to Steph who gave our child a warm and comforting welcome!" Samuel
“Kids loved the activities and the interaction with the adults. Good variety of activities to suit all.” Ash
“Barracudas Watford - My children attend every Summer and have been coming for about 7 years. They enjoy all the activities and a great way to entertain them. They make lots of new friends each year. Also really nice to see the OG group, activity leaders, and the blue shirts.” Dev
