A: Ratios of Staff to children varies for different age groups. For children aged 4.5-6 years the staff to child ratio is 1:8, 7-9 years the staff to child ratio is 1:12, 10-14 years is 1:15.
A: We will aim to place Group Leaders where your experience is, however, this is not always possible for the entire working period. If you are an Early Year’s specialist you will be working with the Under 7's. Activity Leaders will deliver assigned sessions specifically in one group, but may need to move to other groups if necessary. There are approximately 15-24 children in each group with 2 or 3 staff depending on age and activity. Each group splits into smaller groups after they have made their activity choice. Generally, the maximum age difference of children in a group is 18 months.
A: Yes, if we feel we can fully support their needs within the usual ratios. If they need a bit more support, an adult can be appointed to join them, or we can look to recruit staff to work solely as a 1:1 staff member with them for the next operational season.
