A: Ratios of Staff to children varies for different age groups. For children aged 4-5 years the staff to child ratio is 1:8, 6-7 years the staff to child ratio is 1:10, 8-9 years the staff to child ratio is 1:13, 10+ years is 1:15.
A: We will aim to place you where your experience is, however, this is not always possible for the entire working period. For Group Leaders, if you have experience within Early Year’s then you will be working with the 4–6-year-olds. If you have experience working with 10+ year-olds, then you will be working with our 10+ groups. Activity Leaders and specialist staff will deliver assigned sessions across all age ranges. The size of groups can vary from 10-32 children, but this will vary depending on the group age and camp size. There will be 2 or 3 staff members per group depending on age and activity. Each group splits into smaller groups after they have made their activity choice.
A: Yes, if we feel we can fully support their needs within the usual ratios. If they need a bit more support, an adult can be appointed to join them, or we can look to recruit staff to work solely as a 1:1 staff member with them for the next operational season.
