Group Staff

As an Activity Leader you will be assigned to deliver a wide range of activities such as; team building, creative and sporting sessions. You will assist the Group Leader in managing the group and offering a helping hand. There are two variations to this role – Activity Leader (4-day) is based on a 4-day week contract, where your allocated day off will be communicated via your recruiter. Activity Leader (3-day) is based on a 3-day week contract, which will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday specifically. There will be no amendments to these days, other than potentially increasing days should staffing levels require it. We look for enthusiastic individuals ready to learn and deliver some excellent sessions on camp! 

Job Description

An Early Years Group Leader will be working with the youngest children on camp, typically between the ages of 4½ - 6 years old. The children in this age group have lots of energy and we need enthusiastic staff members to keep up with them! There are two variations to this role – Early Years Group Leader (5-day) is a usual 5-day contract. Early Years Group Leader (4-day) is based on a 4-day week contract, with the days being Monday – Thursday, however, this role is only available at certain camps on certain weeks. Please speak to your recruiter if you’re interested! We look for staff who have previous work experience, skills or training in this area (Ideally staff will hold a relevant childcare qualification or undertaken a minimum of 300 hours of accessed placement).

Job Description

As a Group Leader you will get to know the children in your group and ensure they are having the best experience on camp. You will oversee the health, safety and welfare of the children in your care and spend time getting to know the children as individuals. We look for enthusiastic and hardworking individuals for this role. Previous experience is preferred but not essential.

The 10-14 Group Leader is specifically focused on working with the older children on camp to create fun and engaging experiences with them. We are looking for staff who have previously worked with this age group, are aware of their independence, and have the appropriate skillset to manage them. We provide training but prefer those who are trained with secondary school children.
